Every villa at Las Haciendas includes a private plunge pool, fully equipped kitchen with stovetop, oven, refrigerator and cookware, air conditioning, a washing machine, free WiFi, and ensuite bathrooms. One-bedroom villas (Villas 1–3) have a private pool on the balcony level. Two-bedroom villas (Villas 4–6) have a rooftop plunge pool with panoramic views of San Ignacio and the surrounding mountains.

Las Haciendas is located at 5 Durham Drive, approximately 1 mile from the center of San Ignacio. The walk into town takes about 20–25 minutes on foot, or 5 minutes by taxi. Taxis are readily available and inexpensive. Most of our guests find it convenient to walk down in the morning and grab a taxi back after a full day out.
-
A car is not required. We help coordinate all tour pickups directly from the property, and local taxis are easy to arrange. If you plan to explore Mountain Pine Ridge independently or want to drive to Xunantunich on your own schedule, a rental car is a great option — but the majority of our guests manage perfectly without one. We’re happy to help arrange transport for every part of your stay.

The dry season, running from November through April, is the most popular time to visit because skies are reliably sunny, humidity is lower, and all tours and caves are fully accessible. December through February is peak season and books up quickly, so we recommend reserving early. May through October is the green season, offering lush landscapes, dramatic scenery, and significantly fewer crowds, along with lower rates. Some tours may have occasional weather related closures during the rainy season, but San Ignacio's inland location means it is drier than the coast.

Absolutely, this is one of the things we do best. We have trusted relationships with licensed guides for ATM Cave, Xunantunich, Caracol, Barton Creek Cave, Mountain Pine Ridge, horseback riding, the Tikal day trip into Guatemala, and much more. Just let us know what interests you before or during your stay and we’ll handle the arrangements. Our team is available by WhatsApp anytime.

Las Haciendas is an excellent choice for families. The two-bedroom villas (Villas 4–6) comfortably accommodate families with children, with separate bedrooms, a full kitchen for preparing meals, and a rooftop plunge pool. The private, self-contained layout means you have your own space without shared facilities. We’ve hosted many families who used Las Haciendas as a base for exploring Maya ruins, cave tubing, and river swimming — all of which are suitable for kids of varying ages.
